Pupil Task Groups

We have 3 ‘Task Groups’ which meet on a regular basis to discuss, plan and organise activities and events for the school.  All senior class pupils have an opportunity to express a preference for which of the 3 task groups they would like to be part of. Each group has a notice board and folder which they keep up to date and they also provide information for newsletters.  Every week a different group works with the P1-3 class to lead a lesson on what they have been planning and developing. See below for the Task Group remits.

All Groups

•   Give lessons to P1-3s on a rotational basis.  These should be geared towards your group's area of    

          expertise.

•   Create Task Groups Pamphlet at the end of the year.

•   Keep minutes and agendas up to date.

•   Keep displays fresh and up to date.

•   Work with other groups, cooperating to carry out events etc...

Healthy Respect Group

•   Work towards RRSA Gold.

•   Promote and educates about Children’s Rights.

•   Promote healthy lifestyles and choices.

•   Encourage diversity and inclusion.

Rotakids

•   Organise fundraising events for the school, often in line with other task groups.

•   Promote Vision and Values of Tough School.

•   Link with Alford Rotary Club.

Eco Group

•               Create a reflection area in wildlife garden.

•               Maintain the wildlife garden throughout the year.

•               Promote eco-friendly living through lessons.

•               Maintain Eco-Schools Green Flag status.
